Senior Auditor in the Assurance

We are currently looking for Senior Auditors to enhance our Assurance team in Qatar.

You will be involved in providing assurance services to our portfolio of international and local clients. You will be responsible for the execution of the Mazars risk based audit approach and leading audit teams during the fieldwork

Job role

  • Planning and designing auditing projects and necessary tasks to be completed.
  • Thorough knowledge of auditing techniques including ISA.
  • Understanding of Manual audit and quality manual.
  • Experience of entire audit process and ability to independently conclude audits.
  • Understanding and application of IFRS.
  • Understanding of risk-based auditing.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to understand client needs and communicate them.
  • Understanding and compliance of workplace policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring standards of quality and accuracy are maintained in audits and other financial reports.
  • Developing strategies for junior auditors to improve their work outputs.
  • Assisting in the auditing process as and when required.
  • Remaining up to date with developments in relevant legislation and the field in general.
  • Reporting auditing issues and assisting in resolving them.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-4 years recent work experience as an auditor at an International Auditing Firm (Big Four) whilst demonstrating a progression in complexity of auditing and accounting tasks.
  • Internationally recognized professional accounting qualifications – ACCA, CPA, CA, ACA or other relevant certifications.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, French is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS standards, ISA standards, audit practices, procedures and reporting standards.
  • Industry knowledge and audit best practices to develop an audit strategy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel).
