Senior – Tax Consultant

In a senior role will support managers in complex tax issues, lead clients' compliance processes, and guide junior associates.

Key responsibilities

  • Review and analyze complex tax returns.
  • Mentor and train junior tax associates.
  • Prepare and file tax returns and assist in other tax compliance matters, such as replying to Tax bureaus and client's Revenue inquiries.
  • Assist in providing tax and business advice on inbound and outbound investments and cross-border transactions.
  • Assist clients in developing transfer pricing policies and documentation.
  • Provide tax advice in tax consulting (including indirect taxes and compliance); and Assist Senior / Manager in dealing with tax compliance issues for companies and representative offices, and solve complex business issues for clients in local, national, and global markets.
  • Perform any other similar work assigned to him from the top management level.
  • Stay up to date on changes in tax laws and regulations. 

Key skills

  • A client-focused individual with a keen sense of strategy and business
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS standards, ISA standards, audit practices, procedures and reporting standards. 
  • Proven experience in technical accounting and general business issues. 
  • Thorough experience in implementing and providing expertise on technical standards,
  • Industry knowledge and audit best practices to develop an audit strategy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent English written and presentational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and lead junior team members.
  • Strong report writing skills and proficiency in preparing presentations in MS PowerPoint and Word formats.

Qualifications & experience 

  • A degree in finance, tax, economics, or accounting
  • ADIT or ACCA/ Accredited Tax Consultant (ATA) credential
  • At least 4-7 years of relevant experience as a tax professional
